Spain intercepts Venezuelan ship with two tons of cocaine headed to Portugal

The National Police boarded at sea, north of Cape Verde, a ship from Venezuela bound for the European continent and in their warehouses carrying 2 tons of cocaine. The ship was bound for somewhere in the north of Portugal. “It is the biggest operation so far in 2013 in regard to the fight against drug trafficking,” said the director general of police, Ignacio Cosidó. Thus, he said that the importance of this action lies in the amount of drugs found and because it has broken up an organization dedicated to bringing cocaine from South America to Europe.
