Serial Killer Arrested in São Paulo, Brazil, Accused of Killing Five Prostitutes

On January 30, 2013, Folha de São Paulo reported that local police arrested a man connected to the slaying of five prostitutes in the Eastern Zone of São Paulo.  Local janitor Eduardo Sebastião do Patricínio, 42, was charged with murdering five women over the past three years.  The man confessed to killing the women after he was unable to have sex with him; a consequence, he said, of being a crack addict.  Only two of the victims have been discovered so far.  Police said that the arrest occurred on the January 24, and Patrocínio did not resist the arrest.  A formal case is pending.  Read Article
