Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil: Store Owners in Border Cities Fear Marijuana Legalization in Uruguay

Globo reported on August 5, 2013 that storeowners who reside on the Brazil-Uruguay border in Rio Grande do Sul, fear that the possible legalization of marijuana in Uruguay will change the type of tourists visiting the area. Although the Uruguayan legislation states residents of the country can buy the drug, the law will also need to pass in Brazil for border cities where individuals obtain dual citizenship.
