Rash of seismic activity November 11, 2012, hits coastal region of Chile

A seismic swarm today hit the coast of Chile’s O’Higgins region, in the center of the country, where in fifteen hours seventeen tremors have been recorded, but only three, all low current, were perceived by the population. According to the website of the Seismological Service of the University of Chile, between 21.35 local time on Saturday (0.35 GMT) and Sunday 12.14 (15.14 GMT) there have been seventeen earthquakes between 2.3 and 4.7 degrees magnitude.
