Queen of the Pacific to be extradited to U.S. from Mexico

Mexico’s justice on Thursday approved the extradition in the next few days a significant drug trafficker Sandra Avila Beltran, known as “Queen of the Pacific”, United States, a country who is wanted for cocaine trafficking. Avila Beltran, who was arrested in 2007 for being considered an important link in the drug trafficking between Colombia and Mexico, obtained an injunction months ago to avoid extradition. To seek relief, the woman, niece of imprisoned drug lord Miguel Angel “The Godfather” Felix Gallardo, argued that he had been tried in Mexico for crimes under which the U.S. claims. Read Article
