Police Seize R$500,000 Worth of Cocaine from Trafficker in Curitiba, Brazil

On January 23, 2013, Paraná Online reported that local police arrested a man on Tuesday morning with more than R$500,000 worth of pure cocaine in his house in Curitiba, the capital of Paraná.  Júlio César de Jesus, 47, was found with eleven kilograms of the substance.  Police received various tips and accusations from people in the neighborhood, as the area around his house was suspected of being a common destination for stolen goods and drugs.  An unknown item was also recently dropped off at his house by a man named Rodolfo from the neighboring state of Santa Catarina.  Police used the delivery of the item, later discovered to be a hydraulic press, as probable cause to investigate the house.  Read Article
