Peru: Three dead, 38 injured in clash between illegal miners and authorities in Madre de Dios Madre de Dios

A. – The Government of Peru rejects acts of violence carried by illegal miners in the Mother of God and calls upon the authorities of the region and the population at large to support the work of the police force to restore order and tranquility in that jurisdiction.

2. – At the same time, calls for illegal miners to conclude with these violent acts of protest that have already killed three people and left thirty-eight wounded civilians and seventeen police, made ​​the government deeply regrets.
