Peru: Police Dealt Blow to Drug Trafficking, Monzon Valley

According to Inforegion.pe, police carried out an operation against narco-traffickers on or about June 13 in the Monzon Valley. Police using four helicopters, destroyed two drug laboratories producing hydrochloric cocaine of high potency and PBC (cocaine paste). Police confiscated 130 kilos of drugs, and one and a half tons of chemicals. Also confiscated were weapons, ammunition and radio communication equipment. The operation was centered near the town of Chipaco where drug trafficker “Chingas” operates. Chingas’s operations are believed to be linked to the Mexican Mafia. The head of the Special Anti-Drug Enforcement said operations in this region will be frequent and intense to combat the increasing drug activity.Read Article
