Panama, Water shortage linked to intestinal problems

Officials said they have noticed a spike in intestinal-related health issues that are being blamed on the water crisis in the Panama City area that resulted in many areas going without water for up to two months.

Epidemiological reports from the Ministry of Health show that there were 113 more cases of severe diarrhea in the Panama City area in January as compared to the same period in 2010. There were 1,822 cases this year. Read Article
