Mexico, increase in highway robberies

MEXICO DRIVERS RECOGNIZE THAT CROSS ROAD EXPERIENCE IS A HIGH RISK
Navigating the roads of the country can be a high risk experience for drivers, which even may cost them their lives.
According to information from the Mexican Association of Insurance Institutions (AMIS), the cargo theft had a 70 percent surge over the past four years. In 2006, 191 assaults were reported while in 2010 there were 658 complaints.The most dangerous roads for freight transport, according to AMIS, were located in the states of Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Sinaloa, Morelos and Michoacan.
