Mexico: 16,000 die a year in road accidents

In Mexico, road accidents leave 16 000 deaths result each year from traffic accidents, a million injured, 40 thousand people with permanent disabilities, and 150 billion dollars in direct and indirect costs. It is the leading cause of death and orphans in children between five and 14 years and the first cause of death among young people of our country. This was the view offered by the Secretary of Health, Solomon Chertorivski at the launch of the “Riders for Road Safety”, which aims to reduce the incidence of automobile mishaps. Read Article
