Medellin Colombia: armed criminals using abandonded buildings to torture victims

According to Caracol.com a special report reveals that fifteen places, located in the center of Medellin, including houses, guest houses, local bars and cantinas are used by armed groups outside the law to detain, torture, prosecute and kill people. Preferred sites for the development of these executions have special features: thick walls muffle the screams, which is complemented by a noisy, open spaces, lots, basements or proximity to streams for easy abandoning of the bodies of the tortured.
