LatAm Airlines reports losses of 58.9 million in second quarter of 14′

portafolio.co reported that LatAm Airlines operations were affected by the decline in freight and corporate tickets during the World Cup of Brazil.

LatAm Airlines, the largest group of air transportation in Latin America, left behind the turbulence generated in its business the World Cup of Brazil and returned to the levels of operational growth prior to the event.

The conglomerate that includes the Chilean airline LAN and TAM Brazilian yesterday reported losses for 58.9 million for the second quarter, hit by lower demand in the corporate segment and load tickets during the tournament which took place between June and July. “We have seen reservations return to fairly healthy levels, very similar to what we saw before the Cup. Also, the price and profitability levels have been rising to the same standards”, said the President of TAM, Claudia Sender. Read Article
