Inflation Reaches Twelve Month Total of 5.61% in Brazil

On February 4, 2013, iG reported that inflation statistics have been published, and the price index showed a rise of 5.61% between February 2012 and January 2013.  The report comes from the Federal Institute of Economic Research (FIPE).  According to the numbers, the biggest culprit was basic food purchases, of which items in the price index rose nearly 12% in one year.  Personal expenses and education rounded out the list.  Read Article
