Guayaquil Ecuador: 22 bandits detained, committing thefts at traffic lights

An operation carried out by members of the police last Thursday resulted in the arrest of 22 people suspected of committing robberies at traffic lights. The arrested were taken to the Judicial Police, where it was reported that the operation was the result of intelligence work in which it was determined that the suspects were operating in an organized manner using a facade of street vendors and communicated with signs and whistles to alert others to the presence of a potential victim. This system also alerted to the presence of uniformed police said. In addition the subjects were recorded and identified by the cameras installed corporate citizen in the area. Read Article
