Fishermen from Ecuador traffick cocaine to Costa Rica; Caught by U.S. Coast Guard

Four fishermen from Ecuador were captured by members of the United States Coast Guard with 360 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride. The drugs were found on board a boat named “Santa Martha,” La Hora reports, and was headed toward Costa Rica. The vessel had departed from the Esmeraldas province. The suspects claimed they were hired to deliver spare parts to another boat. However, officials inspected the cargo and discovered the drugs hidden in black bags.
