El Salvador: H1N1 virus cases increases, most cases young children

The number of people infected with influenza virus A H1N1 was increased to 96. According to data from the Ministry of Health (Minsal) in the most recent week confirmed 21 new cases.

48 percent of patients detected recently are under ten years, said David Rodriguez, head of the Statistics and Information Minsal.

“Most of these children have not been vaccinated,” said Rodriguez. The Minsal maintains an immunization campaign to prevent severe cases or deaths from this disease. Read Article
