Ecuador to close ten consulates, five embassies

Ecuavisa.com reported…The Ecuadorian Government announced today that it has decided to close ten consulates and also close five embassies, within a plan of restructuring of the foreign service, informed the Foreign Ministry in a statement. Consulates closed from November 30th are those of San Francisco and New Orleans, in the United States.UU.; Cali and Puerto Asis, in Colombia; Piura (Peru); Guadalajara (Mexico); Lausanne (Switzerland); Lisbon (Portugal); Sydney (Australia) and Pamplona (Spain). In addition, Ecuador will close their embassies in the Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Belgium and Austria, although the Ministry said no date. Read Article
