Ecuador ratifies dismissal of two judges for violations, previously both assigned to Chevron case

The Judicial Council of Ecuador has ratified the dismissal of Judge Nicholas Zambrano, who ordered the oil company Chevron for environmental damages and upheld a remand order against the current president of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, according to a resolution to that had access to EFE.

Full of that court dismissed the appeal by Zambrano and reaffirmed its previous opinion that the judge committed a disciplinary offense “very serious” to parole a suspected drug dealer who fled.

He also confirmed the termination for the same reason Leonardo Ordonez Pineapple, judge took the case of Chevron before Zambrano and who was disqualified after the oil company complained that did not properly investigate his allegations.
