Ecuador plans project of peace on the border with Colombia

The Ecuadorian government will launch this year a project to develop a culture of peace on the border with Colombia, as part of comprehensive security policy in the area, reported the Minister of Culture, Erika Sylva.

She said that intervene in areas of the three provinces bordering Colombia: Esmeraldas (Costa), Carchi (Andes) and Sucumbíos (Amazon).

With the project looking for work processes generating social cohesion “knowing that there are processes that tend to the social disintegration in the area,” said the minister at a meeting with reporters. Read Article
