Ecuador plans operative to destroy clandestine airfields

According to Spanish.china.org.cn, the Ecuadorian minister of the interior, José Serrano, reported today that in the coming weeks will proceed to destroy airfields that were used for illegal activities such as drug trafficking. In an interview with state television TV Series, Serrano said that in coordination with the Armed Forces has been “intelligence work to determine all tracks” that probably are facilitating illicit activities. “This time there is already a geo referenced work, which will allow us in the next few weeks along with the Defense Ministry to begin the destruction of these airfields,” said the minister. The authority will regularize the tracks that are used for aerial spraying and activities that are not registered in the National Directorate of Civil Aviation (DAC). Read Article
