Ecuador: New limits for importing household goods for returning migrants

New rules are aspiring migrants to return to Ecuador and bring their household goods. The National Customs Service (Senae) set limits to determine who can access the system and those that do not apply to the benefit of tax exemptions. Customs officials determine that condition based on a table that sets the time periods outside the migrant must meet maximum day and stay in Ecuador. With these premises are three ranges: those eligible for tax exemptions to qualify for household goods, which will enter the regime of kitchenware, but without the tax break, and those who had not complied with the requirements, be prevented from applying the scheme (see chart).
