Ecuador: Inflation for 2015 declined to 3.38 percent

Prensa Latina Ecuador’s inflation declined in 2015 to 3.38 percent, according to a report by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) today. The National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) published the report contrasts the information with the figure calculated in 2014, 3.67 percent Thursday.

The document also specifies that Ecuador last December recorded a monthly inflation of 0.09 percent, versus 0.11 percent in the same period last year. According to PCI, the months with higher inflation in 2015 were April, with 0.84 percent; and February, with 0.61 percent. The months with lower figures were reported the same parameter October, 0.09 percent less; and July, less 0.08 percent.

For its part, the city with the highest monthly inflation is Cuenca, Ecuador, with 0.63 percent; however, Esmeraldas and Santo Domingo were distinguished as lower inflation, less 0.09 less 0.07 percent, respectively. Read Article
