Ecuador: election delays process mining policy

According to minerandina.com, the Presidential electionscheduled for February 17, has slowed down the process being conducted by of President Rafael Correa’s government, to send to his country’s Congress, a draft of amendments to the mining law setting forth changes to proceed with mining development, and the implementation of tax incentives to attract more investment to the sector. The cause of this is that President Correa will be absent from office, as he has leave to concentrate on his reelection campaign. Read Article
