Ecuador: City of Quito takes over policing of traffic from National Police

teleamazonas.com reported that Civil agents will replace the national police officers. The municipality of the Metropolitan District of Quito assumes from today officially control the traffic in the capital. Among its powers this issue ballots of citation and elaborate parties to offences and serious infringements within the urban perimeter of the Metropolitan District.
