Colombia, government begins to revoke mining permits from protected areas

The Government started debugging mining rights have been granted in protected areas such as wilderness and national parks.The director of the Colombian Institute of Geology and Mining (Ingeominas), Oscar Paredes Zapata, revealed that he ordered the evacuation of all activity on the Natural Park Yaigojé Apaporis (Amazon and Vaupés), for which a permit was granted irregularly.
