Coffee Production Falls 18% in May, Colombia

•Due to the effects of the winter, coffee production has suffered a 18% decrease from May 2010 according to Fedecafe as reported by caracol.com.co.
•Coffee growers are making attempts to increase production and fight against La Roya de Cafeta which affects the growth of the crop.
•However, so far in 2011, Colombian coffee production has increased 12% overall.
•In the last year, coffee exports have increased 22% which is 8.6 million 60 kilo sacks. Read Article
