Clandestine airstrip discovered in Venezuela; Connected to plane captured in airport

The Bolivariana National Guard discovered and dismantled a clandestine airstrip in the Apure state of Venezuela. The airstrip is believed to be the take-off location of a plane stopped and captured at the Punto Fijo airport on July 6, 2012. The illegal airstrip was 1.4 kilometers long and was located near the Juriepe river. 220 liters of jet fuel were also seized during the operation, El Carabobeno reports. 4,440 liters of vehicle gasoline were found on the site as well.
