CIA Ties to Ecuadorian Organizations says U.S. Investigator

According to Andes.info.ec interview with Eva Golinger, a United States writer and investigator, many Ecuadorian organizations receive funding from the U.S. State Department through agencies like the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and National Endowment for Democracy (NED). Goliger continues to say that these funds are specific for destabilizing the government of Rafael Correa. Assemblywoman Lourdes Tiban, from the Pachakutik party, is a founder of the Enterprise Corporation of the Indigenous, which receives funding from USAID, says Golinger. Norman Bailey, a “veteran” of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, is an advisor to the group, Golinger adds. In the interview, USAID is criticized for once being an organization for development and humanitarian aid and then turning into an organization of political objectives. Golinger says that many entrepreneurs and NGOs with close ties to the U.S. usually have ties with the CIA and aims to destabilize Latin American governments.Read Article
