Chile: injured newspaper readers from churros recipe that exploded awarded compensation

A Chilean newspaper according to tn.com.ar must pay about $ 125,000 to 13 people who were burned to develop a recipe published in a supplement of kitchen, according to a Supreme Court ruling. The incident dates back to 2004, when the magazine’s daily La Tercera showed step by step how to make fritters stuffed with caramel or dulce de leche.
At least 13 people were burned in different parts of the body to follow in detail the recipe, which, as it turned out later, given mass temperature and oil became a virtual “recipe explosive”. Read Article
