Central America members create fund for natural disasters

The Central American countries formalized today the creation of a fund for natural disasters, which in its first three years of implementation will reach 24 billion U.S. dollars, an official source. The resolution creating the so-called Central American Fund for the Promotion of Integrated Disaster Risk (Focegir) was signed today in Panama City by representatives of civil defense organizations of each Central American country, said a statement from the Presidency of Panama.
