Brazilian Federal Police Investigates New Human Trafficking Scheme

On March 6, 2013, Estado de Minas reported that Federal Police in the state of Minas Gerais are in contact with the Spanish National Police over a woman who recently denounced a man with whom she lived in Spain.  Police in Spain arrested the man and questioned the woman, who is said to have been born in Brazil, but also lived in Portugal before moving to Spain.  During the police raid in which they arrested the man, police also found six firearms.  No specific names or locations have been released yet, and Spanish police continue to investigate the origins of the firearms and operations involved.  Read Article
