Brazil, tourist area confirmed meningitis outbreak in Bahia

EMOL.com reported that Brazilian authorities confirmed today that a meningitis outbreak killed three people and led to the hospitalization of another four in the popular resort of Costa do Sauipe, on the coast of the northeastern state of Bahia. According to the Ministry of Health of Bahia, the first cases were detected last week and officials from the affected hotels in Costa do Sauipe, that between Wednesday and last Saturday was the scene of a party that attracted hundreds of tourists to ” resorts “in the region every year receive and Brazil Tennis Open.
