Brazil to build plant for the production of vaccines and biotech medicines

The Brazilian government announced the construction of a new technology park in the state Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), which allow the country to sixfold increase its production of vaccines and biotech medicines currently producing monopoly of multinationals. The park will be built in an area of ​​570,000 square meters in Santa Cruz, a neighborhood west of this city, which was ceded by the government of Rio de Janeiro.

“The outlook for this new park is to increase by six times the production capacity of vaccines,” Padilha said at the ceremony.
