Ayacucho, Peru: Two Military Officers Die in Shootout with Terrorists

Peru21.pe reports that two soldiers were killed this morning, Tuesday July 19th, in a shootout with terrorists in Llochegua in the Ayacucho province. Officials say the attack occurred during a patrol of Llochegua, where two soldiers were wounded as well. The military patrol belonged to the Base Against Terrorism, “Mantaro Union. Officers of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces say operations are ongoing to evacuate the wounded and killed, while officers of the Base are searching for those responsible.Read Article
