Argentinian travelers to face new currency restrictions when traveling outside of Argentina with debit cards

Argentine travelers who want to withdraw money from ATMs abroad using your debit card should have a local account in that currency. So I ordered the Central Bank in a circular distributed among funding agencies and foreign exchange last Friday, and shall take effect on 3 April. The initiative was signed by Jorge Rodriguez, in charge of the Senior Management Changes in foreign and monetary authority, and is included within the mechanisms of exchange controls proposed by the Kirchner administration since last December. So far, you could withdraw money from ATMs abroad and the currency exchange is made automatically, with the quote of the moment. This will change from April. Only will apply to debit cards.
