Argentina’s Government, Teachers Agree On New Minimum Wage

A deal between Argentina’s government and teachers’ unions to raise the minimum wage for new part-time teachers by about 27% sets a precedent for teachers’ unions negotiating salary increases in provinces across the country, Stella Maldonado, head of the national teachers’ union, CTERA, said in a phone interview Wednesday.
