Two police officers and one civilian were killed in the village of San Cristobalito in Chiapas after an incensed indigenous group forced their vehicle off a 200-meter cliff, El Universal reports. Two Ministerial police officers and two civilians arrived in the village to arrest a man presumably involved in an automobile robbery. The suspect ran from police and begged for help from other villagers, who then forcibly detained the four men. After some time and attempted negotiations, the villagers forced the men into a truck, and then threw the vehicle down the cliff. Government agents arrived the next day to find one of the civilians still living after the fall. He is currently in critical condition at a nearby hospital. Read Article
