Goiás, Brazil: Gang Steals and Adulterates 700,000 liters of Milk

Globo reported on May 21, 2013 that the Civil Police in Morrinhos, Goiás, arrested this past Monday, seven members of a gang suspected for stealing and adulterating 700,000 liters of milk in seven months. In addition, seven trucks and two vans were confiscated during the arrest. According to police, once suspects stole the milk, the milk was taken to the leader’s farm in which water, salt, and sugar were added. The product was stored in unsanitary conditions; surrounded by cockroaches. The suspects are charged with conspiracy, theft, adulteration, and illegal possession of a weapon.Read Article
