Mexican narco-trafficker arrested; Connected to deaths of journalists

A narco-trafficker was arrested by the Mexican Navy in possession of a woman’s documents who was found dead in May 2012. The woman, Irasema Becerra, was an administrator of a local newspaper in Veracruz. She was found dead with three photographers. Arrestee Juan Carlos Hernández Pulido is reportedly a member of the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel, El Financiero reports. Five journalists have been killed in Veracruz so far in 2012. No connection between the suspect and the deaths has yet been reported. Read Article
