Argentina, Women enter Federal Police Force for the first time

For the first time in the history of the Argentine Federal Police a group of women occupy high profile positions within the force. A decision was made lat week by the Security Minister to promote 9 officers, 5 of whom are women, to second and third chiefs of police in Buenos Aires. As part of the new position, they will be in charge when the police Commissioner is absent. All of the women promoted have been members of the police force for years, but until this decision were unable to work in a station on the federal level.
