Ecuador Hospitals Preparing for Epidemic Phase after Earthquake

zocalo.com.mx REPORTED Ecuadorian hospitals are prepared to confront the epidemic phase that are specific disaster situations, as was the earthquake last April 16, which left nearly 600 dead.

The medical director of the hospital Verdi Ceballos, Fredy Saldarriaga, in Puerto Viejo, one of the populations most affected by the quake on the northern coast of Ecuador, said the health system is preparing for the second phase.

The first phase is the response you have to give the damage that generates an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 degrees, as recorded in the Ecuadorian coast.
