Argentina, women facing increased violence

According to a recent study by the non-governmental organization La Casa del Encuentro, 260 cases of crime against women were committed in Argentina in 2010, almost five per week, a Press TV correspondent reported on Wednesday.
In 64 percent of the cases, the executor was either the victim’s husband or de-facto spouse, the NGO highlights in its report. Read Article

Argentina, importing note bills from Brazil

Argentina will import an additional 3 billion pesos (750 million US dollars) in 100-peso notes from state-owned mint Cada de Moeda do Brasil, central bank President Mercedes Marco del Pont said Monday.
