Woman arrested with shipment of cocaine at Mexico-US border

A woman was arrested after a drug seizure took place on a bridge between Texas, the United States and Reynosa, Mexico. She was spotted driving a 2001 Ford Focus by customs officials, according to Metro Noticias. After checking her documents, officials sent her to a secondary inspection, where vehicle discrepancies were noticed. With the help of canine units, 15 packages of cocaine weighing 16.5 kilos were discovered inside the vehicle. The market value in the United States for this amount is over one million dollars. The woman was not identified; however officials report she is a 20-year-old Mexican resident of Reynosa. Read Article
