Villa Rica, Colombia: Authorities Discover Underground FARC Complex

From lainformacion.com on August 27, 2013- Colombian authorities seized 226 kilos of cocaine on a FARC controlled farm in the Cauca Department in the southwest of the country. In addition to the farm, authorities discovered an underground complex complete with security systems. The complex had several rooms with 15 in. thick walls, remotely controlled doors, and armed guards. Although shots were fired on the Colombian authorities, there were no injuries reported and the defenders of the complex fled. Police said that the base was not used solely for hiding drug shipments, but also for holding hostages. Read Article
