Venezuela: Amuay refinery expected to produce 250,000 barrels a day at normalization

Venezuela’s government said Thursday it expects to process 250,000 barrels of oil a day this weekend in Amuay refinery in the early hours of day 25 suffered an explosion that forced parts of the complex and stop left an official toll of 42 dead.

The Mining and Oil Minister Rafael Ramirez said that at this time the refinery is already producing 170,000 barrels per day and said it expects to reach 250,000 by the end of the day “to go to our levels of normalization.” Read Article
