Ushuaia, Argentina: Raids Conducted on Suspicion of Human Trafficking

On August 26, 2013 Sur54 Noticias reported that in the last hours police conducted two separate raids in Ushuaia, including a nightclub and a private house. The raids occurred following a complaint the places were being used for human trafficking. As the investigation is still in the preliminary stage, police were unable to release the names of any suspects accused. In the meantime, police are allowing the nightclub to remain open while they investigate further whether the establishment in fact served as a front for human trafficking. Read Article
