Ushuaia, Argentina: 14 Trafficking Victims Rescued, 2 Arrested

On August 29, 2013 Te Leemos Las Noticias reported the rescue of 14 women who had been victims of sexual exploitation in Ushuaia. The victims include both foreign women and Argentinian women from various provinces. During the rescue operation which included raids on a nightclub and a residential home, police arrested two men for suspected human trafficking. Police also seized a car, Argentinian, Brazilian, Chilean and American currency, computer equipment and other items of interest to the investigation. Read Article
