U.S.: Venezuelan sentenced to prison for trafficking cocaine, used private plane

A U.S. judge on Monday sentenced to 11 months in prison to a Venezuelan who pleaded guilty to a charge related to a cocaine trafficking case in which seven people are charged. Judge Robin Ronsembaum announced his decision at a hearing in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, in southern Florida.
He pleaded guilty to making “structured bank deposits” that U.S. authorities say were linked to the sale of cocaine to an organization that allegedly trafficked drugs from Venezuela. Read Article
