Telefonica has begun commercial operations in Costa Rica

Telefónica will start commercial operations in Costa Rica starting this Tuesday with a service offering prepaid, postpaid and business, ending the state monopoly mobile Latin American country. Mobile penetration in Costa Rica, which currently has 4.5 million inhabitants, around 65%, which means “large” opportunities for growth of new companies that will participate in the telecommunications market, the company explained. Thus, according to estimates that manages the firm, with the entry of new operators like Movistar, the penetration levels could reach 120%, similar to other Central American countries. Read Article
